This spindle application was run on a DC motor. The drive was a Clark drive running open loop.

The customer being tired of the maintenance on the motor, we replaced the drive and motor with this Saftronics drive.

We also built them a new control station with a spindle current trip meter. This system was installed in 1995 and continues to run without problems today.

AIM Controls gutted the existing cabinet and did the installation into the existing drive enclosure to hold down the costs.
